Pet insurance claims hit record number

The quantity of UK pet proprietors guaranteeing on protection strategies has achieved another record, with 911,000 cases being made in 2015.

The Association of British Insurers (ABI) said the quantity of cases rose by 9% contrasted and the earlier year.

Among the cases being made was one for a python which required treatment for anorexia.

Altogether, pet safety net providers managed 686,000 cases for mutts - a 11% expansion on 2014 - and 193,000 cases for felines - a 6% rise.
