Specialists of the Department of State Security DSS have captured two more judges over charges of defilement.
As indicated by The Nation, Justices Bashir Sukola and Ladan Manir of the Kaduna State High Court, were captured in Kaduna and taken to the DSS Headquarters in Abuja at around 8.30pm yesterday October twelfth.
A source in the DSS says that records of a portion of the judges as of now under scrutiny have been solidified.
"A few records have been solidified through requests of the court. This influences a portion of the judges. Not every one of them. We discovered some colossal lodgements that are sketchy in a few records and notwithstanding that we likewise watched the inflow of their pay rates over a long stretch without them making any withdrawal by any means. This means they don't live on their compensations by any stretch of the imagination. Those records have been solidified however as I said not the greater part of the judges are influenced."
The source expressed that the judges have not been charged to court in light of the fact that the National Judicial Council NJC is yet to make an affirmation on the matter
"We are sitting tight for the activity of the NJC. We anticipate that the NJC will suspend them, generally it resembles indicting a sitting judge. In the Service, when anyone is being explored for any genuine wrongdoing, the primary thing we do is to place such a man on suspension. After the examination, such a man would confront trial and get expelled from administration on conviction and later face indictment in the law court."
