Pro-democracy activist Tunji Braithwaite dies at 82

Photograph: Emmanuel Osodi The octogenarian kicked the bucket at St. Nicholas healing center at an opportune time matured 82. Braithwaite was conceived in 1933, the most youthful child of eight youngsters. He was taught at the prestigious C.M.S Grammar School, entering the school's Preparatory Section in 1946 and finishing his training there in 1953. He continued to sit for his A Levels at the London University at Kennington College in 1955 and selected in 1957/58 as a Law understudy at the Council of Legal Education, London. He was conceded into Lincoln's Inn that same year and graduated as a counselor in 1960. Perused ALSO: Tunji Braithwaite Speaks On PMB's Administration In February 1961, he was called to the Bar at Lincoln's Inn and from that point marked the Rolls of Barristers at the High Court of Justice, Strand, London before coming back to Nigeria. His set at the call to the Bar incorporated the late Ligali Ayorinde, the late Mrs. Omotosho (nee Sonola-Soyinka) and Fola Sasegbon among others. In March 1961, he was selected as a Barrister and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. He wedded his youth sweetheart; Grace S. Falade in 1956 while they were students. They have 5 kids and numerous grandchildren. May his spirit rest in peace.
